I first reviewed the GoPlus 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill back in 2021, and it was impressive then. It was one of my top three walking pads that year.
The build quality sells this 2-in-1 treadmill; it’s quality the main reason it continues to be just as popular today as it was four years ago. Still, the updated version is even better than what was on offer in 2021
You now have dual displays, so we get handrail buttons for speed and mode adjustment.
The updated Goplus 2 in 1 also boasts BlueTooth and an app to download all your workout data and control the treadmill. This gives you a choice of three ways to adjust the speed, etc. The remote control, the handrail control buttons, and the app control. A big improvement!
It’s So Quiet! Brushless 2.25HP Motor
What you’ll first notice about this treadmill is how quiet it is. It’s whisper quiet in operation, a lot quieter than most of the walking pads I’ve reviewed, and that’s thanks to the brushless motor. Brushless motors are much quieter than the brushed type. Plus, on average, they last four times longer. So it’s always better to choose a treadmill with brushless.

So far, I’m really impressed with the updated version of this treadmill. With its folding compact design, high-quality build, and a top speed of 7.5mph, it’s certainly a walking pad I want to take a closer look at, and today we’ll look at everything it has to offer, including the drawbacks, as there are a few.
At the end of the review, I want to compare the GoPlus 2 in 1 with one of my favorite walking pads, the HccSport Treadmill, which is another high-quality walking pad and one that includes an incline. It will be interesting to see how these two match up.

What Do We Like About The GoPlus 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill?
What I like about the GoPlus 2 in 1 is that it weighs more than the other walking pads in this price bracket. And I promise you that’s a good thing.
The heavier the treadmill’s weight, the higher the quality of the parts used in the build. This is not a machine that feels cheap like the others. You have some quality here. It’s sturdy and well-made. And that’s what impresses me most about it.
Compact and easy to store
With the handrail folded, this treadmill is just 5″ in height, which makes it very easy to store. It will fit under a bed or couch, or you can simply stand it up against a wall. It’s a small treadmill, and its compact design makes it a great choice for bedrooms and even small offices.
The compact design of this treadmill is something I know people will love, especially those tight on space.
Folding Handrails
The main feature of the GoPlus folding treadmill is the folding handrail. It’s not just a walking pad for under-desk use.
Once the handrail is raised, the top speed increases from 3mph to 7.6mph, which means it can be used for faster paced cardio like jogging. And thanks to the update, we now have those handy control buttons built into the handrail.
Short Running Retricts User Height For Jogging
You can’t avoid short running belts on the 2 in 1 machines or any walking pad. They’re designed to be compact, and sadly, it’s the running belt length that suffers most. It’s a compromise you have to make.
The GoPlus running belt measures just 40″, and 16″ in width, so it’s a pretty small running belt. And it’s the length of the belt that determines who can use the machine and for what.
Not everyone will be able to jog on this treadmill. Anyone over 5’8 is going to struggle to do anything more than walk fast on the GoPlus treadmill because the belt is just too short.
The person who will get the most out of buying the GoPlus 2 in 1 is someone 5’8″ or under, as they can use it for both walking and jogging.
Also, the belt is narrow, so be careful not to step off the side of the treadmill when exercising. This is not so much of a problem when walking, but when jogging, be careful.
Basic Monitor With App Control
What I’ve always liked about the 2 in 1 walking pads is how easy everything is to use—nothing complicated to set up. You can just get on it and get exercising.
With GoPlus, you have 3 ways to control the treadmill: you can use the remote, app control, or handrail buttons.
The handrail buttons I like the most. They’re simple one-touch buttons for speed and modes. And when the handrail is raised, you’ll have a tablet/phone holder, so you can watch Netflix and YouTube or chat with friends, which really helps take away the monotony of long cardio sessions.
There are no built-in workout programs, which is a shame, and there’s no way to measure heart rate. Still, the GoPlus 2-in-1 treadmill monitor tracks all the essential workout stats, such as distance, time, calories, and speed.
You can download all your workout stats onto the app via Bluetooth if you wish to.
Yeah, it’s a basic monitor, but a walking pad doesn’t really need anything more than this. It’s nice to see GoPlus finally decided to include control buttons for the handrail. They’ve also added Bluetooth and the app, which is cool.
Top speed is 7.6mph when the handle is raised.
There’s No Incline Feature
The lack of an incline lets this walking pad down. For the price they’re asking, I think they should include a manual incline.
The reason I like to see an incline feature on a treadmill is that they bring so much more to your workout sessions. You’ll double calorie burn walking and jogging on an incline, and you work and tone those hard to train muscles like your glutes, calves, and hamstrings.
Not many of the 2 in 1 machines include an incline, you normally have to pay over $300 to find a decent walking pad with an incline, but it’s worth it. Maybe in the next update, GoPlus will make an incline version of this treadmill.
Deck Cushioning To Protect Joints
The GoPlus 2 in 1 Treadmill doesn’t include an anti-shock system like you’ll find on the larger, more expensive treadmills; there are no rubber shock absorbers under the running belt. And I didn’t really expect to see any at this price point.
However, we do have a multi-layered belt. It’s a five-layer running belt with a shock-absorbing layer in between. This provides some cushioning from the impact of each foot strike and protects the joints a bit.
Still, this treadmill isn’t designed for serious runners, it’s designed for light cardio, and a five-layer belt is usually enough. You’ll certainly feel the cushioning.
Even without an anti-shock system a multi-layered belt is much better for your joints than running on hard impact surfaces like roads.
Motor Power & Weight Capacity
I want to talk a little about the power of this motor and the weight capacity as both are important. The GoPlus 2 in 1 is a low-cost treadmill, so it’s not going to have a heavy-duty motor.
What you have with the GoPlus Treadmill is a 2.25HP motor, this is pretty good for a low-cost walking pad, but still, it’s not that powerful. It certainly wouldn’t cope with running. It will burn out quickly if moving heavy weight regularly.
GoPlus states that this machine has a 265lb weight capacity, which is overrated. Most low-cost treadmills boast high weight capacities, but in reality, you need to keep well under the maximum capacity.
A more realistic weight capacity for a 2.25HP motor would be 200lb for jogging and slightly more for walking, as walking does not stress the motor as much as jogging.
Remember that this motor’s peak performance is 2.25HP, its CHP (Continuous Horse Power) would be more like 1HP, so it is not particularly powerful. It’s good enough for walking and jogging, but keep well under the max capacity to avoid early motor burnout.

Will I Need a Treadmill Mat?
It’s usually the lightweight, treadmills that lack stability because they don’t have the weight of the heavy-duty treadmills to keep them planted on the floor.
The GoPlus is heavy for a walking pad, but compared to a large treadmill that weighs 200lb, it is generally considered a lightweight machine. There is some movement with the GoPlus on a polished floor, and a treadmill mat will prevent this.
Also, a treadmill mat will protect your polished floors from scratches.
Lastly, if you live in an apartment, a treadmill mat may be essential if you want to keep your neighbors happy. Treadmill mats are excellent for absorbing the vibrations from your workouts.

Assembly 2 Minute Set Up!
You’ll be happy to hear the GoPlus Treadmill does not require assembly. All you need to do is unbox it. However, the box is fairly large and heavy, so if you’re going to use it in a bedroom or office, you might need a helping hand to get it upstairs.
Also, remember to lubricate the treadmill before first use. Most treadmills are lubricated at the factory, but sometimes they forget or are overlooked, so to be on the safe side, I always lubricate first.
You might also have to centre the running belt. Just check to see if you need to and check if it’s loose. You don’t want a loose treadmill belt. They supply a allen key to tighten the belt, it only takes a minute or two.
The Good
Compact design easy to move and store
Very easy assembly
Under $300
3 ways to control the treadmill which includes app control
Good quality for price point
Built in transport wheels just tilt and roll to store
Quiet treadmill under 55DB
The Bad
No Incline
Short running belt just 40″
No way to measure heart rate

HccSport 3 in 1 Treadmill
Like the GoPlus 2 in 1 treadmill, the HccSport treadmill outshines the competition because of the build quality. Weighing over 80lb, this is another surprisingly sturdy walking pad.
The HccSport treadmill has been a favorite of mine since its release. It is not one of the cheaply made walking pads that last a few months. Because of its features and build quality, this machine has to be among the top two walking pads on the market for under $400.
Yeah, it costs a little more than the GoPlus treadmill, and that’s because it includes a 2-level manual incline, which is essential if you want to get the most out of cardio sessions.
Also, you have a more powerful motor with the HccSport Treadmill. It boasts a 3.5HP motor, which will easily cope with walking, jogging, and even running.
The monitor impressed me, too. It includes 12 built-in workout programs and can be controlled using the handrail or remote. Just like the GoPlus, everything is very easy to use and set up.
It’s a walking pad, so the belt is pretty short. It measures 16.5 x 42.5″, so it’s slightly larger than the GoPlus 2 in 1 belt but only suitable for walking and jogging.
With the HccSport treadmill, you get an anti-shock system almost unheard of for a walking pad. It has six rubber shock absorbers under the belt and a multi-lay belt, giving you a lot of joint protection.
It really is an impressive 3 in 1 treadmill. The incline, the powerful motor, the build quality, and the built-in workout programs justify its higher price tag.
It’s one of the best walking pads out there.
To Sum Up
There isn’t much not to like about the GoPlus 2-in-1 Treadmill. I was impressed with it the first time I reviewed it a few years ago, and I’m just as impressed now, even more so with the updated version. GoPlus finally gave us some built-in handrail buttons, which always come in handy. The top speed has increased to 7.5mph, so you can comfortably jog. And you get BlueTooth and an app.
What’s most important is that the build quality has stayed high, and the price is competitive.
However, it does lack an incline, which may be a deal breaker for some.
